This name is popular among different Nigeria culture and unknown in most part of the world. It is often mistaken for the strong leftovers from popcorn. however, it is actually prepared separately. I often refer to it as fried corn. Although, this frying is carried out without oil. If you want to prepare it at home, go to the market and buy old raw dried corn, get a frying pan on the fire, put as much corn as u can on the frying pan, add a little salt or sugar and stir till it gets browny and a little burn.

You can get it in small retail stores, during traffic jams, and you can also easily prepare it. Also, guguru is very cheap. There is no excuse whatsoever not to afford it daily.
