8 inborn characteristics of Bini boys from Benin (Edo state)
Hi guys. Today we’ll be taking a look at the topic “signs that he’s a Bini boy from Benin.” It’s just for the fun of it. Don’t get overly serious about this article.
There happen to be lots of tribes in Nigeria. Each with their funny traits. Today, our emphasis is on Bini boys. This is to help the ladies know a Bini guy when they see one. Few might not possess this trait though. However, 90% of boys from Benin exhibit some or all of these traits.
8 Signs that he’s a Bini boy from Benin
-
When you hear ogun dey kee your apa
This statement and a boy who was born and raised in Benin are 5 and 6. What they are actually trying to pronounce is “ogun dey kill your papa.” However, due to the Bini’s tongue, as many will call it, it comes out the other way which is usually funny. If you don’t take that statement lightly, I’ll advise you don’t mingle with a typical Bini boy. Some of them derive fun and pleasure using it. However, it does sound funny if you don’t get overly serious with words.
-
When they show they are superior by beating up their girlfriends
This is one of the major shortcomings of most Bini guys. It happens that it was instilled into them during their upbringing. Most Bini children witnessed lots of quarrels from their parents when growing up. It often ends with their mother been beaten up. This act reflects in their everyday life. They end up beaten up their girlfriend with the most little of anger when in a relationship. If you happen to be with a Bini guy who’s calm, you’re one of the few lucky ones.
-
When he rather fight than leave a quarrel out of anger
There are people who are naturally calm, Bini people are not one of them. Once a Bini guy gets pissed or angered, be rest assured that it might end in a fight. You’ll start seeing objects moving, blood dropping etc from both parties involved. You better think twice before going into a fight with a Bini boy, especially those from upper sakponba.
-
When he rather learn handwork or travel out than go to school
Not until recent, Bini boys hardly ever take school seriously. I guess mingly with other tribes has gone a long way to making Bini boys see the need to go to school. A typical Bini boy won’t want to waste time in school (according to them). They’ll rather want to start earning money even from a very young age. Unlike the igbo guys who would rather learn trade, a Bini boy will stick to manual labour e.g electrician, carpentery, welding, brick layer etc. The hustling spirit is usually very high. This is why even at a very young age, a Bini boy can take good care of themselves. However, for those who fail to start up a business, things get hard as they begin to age. Those that don’t want to learn any manual work start looking for ways to travel out of the country at a very young age.
-
When they derive pleasure in adding to their age
A Bini guy does not joke with his age. He can even go as far as to add to his age just to command some level of respect from his friends. This goes a long way to making them happy.
-
When leaving his parents house is a burning desire
As at age 16, a Bini guy is already generating plans on how he can start living alone. This will make them hustle very hard just to look for an apartment to rent. This is what freedom means to them. One of the reasons why they don’t spend enough time with their parents and learn from them.
-
When he can die just because of inheritance
A Bini guy doesn’t joke with his father’s properties. They’ll do anything to get as much as they want when it comes to their father’s property. The length that they can go to get what they want is beyond the scope of this article.
-
When you always see them fighting for one land or another in the community
This is one thing a typical Bini boy don’t joke with. When it comes to land matter, they are ready for the heat that comes along with it.
These are some of the few signs you’ll see as indication to know you’re messing with a Bini guy or you’re dating one. Though not every guy from Benin behaves like this, most do.
